Drum and Bass and summer go together like Roskilde Festival and Tuborg.

If we’re lucky, Wilkinson’s beach vibes in “Wash Away” might just encourage the weather gods to make shorts and slippers possible at RF18 instead of rain ponchos and wellies!

Drum and bass is very much alive, and it’s not because of nostalgia. It’s exciting artists such as Wilkinson that find new ways of playing to its strengths, flirting with pop and future jungle. Connoisseurs have also warmed to Wilkinson: at the National Drum & Bass Awards, he scooped ‘Best Single’, ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Video’and‘Best Producer’.

the Orange Feeling

My Roskilde Festival history is super short, having attended as a “paying guest” in 2016 for the first time. 2017 was my first year as a volunteer and as many fellow volunteers (over 20.000!) will attest; once you’ve experienced the orange feeling it becomes a part of you.

As a non-Danish though, it’s been a challenge to keep up with the latest news, as most info is shared in Danish. I will try to keep track with news, line-ups and reviews on this blog, so non-Danish speakers can stay in the loop.
